In the heart of Royal Palm Beach is the iconic Veterans park. Perfect to take a stroll, have a
panic, read a book or simply just enjoy the fresh air and the scenic view. The park has a water
fountain in the middle of it ideal for you and your little one to cool down on days when the
weather gets a little too parched. On holidays like the fourth of July, Memorial Day and
Veteran’s day the Veterans Park is most fitting to watch the fireworks. Rest assured I haven’t
forgotten about all you dog lovers, Veterans Park is suited for walking your dog, however, I’m
pretty sure your pop would better enjoy Commons park which has its own area for dogs and is
less than half a mile from Veteran’s park. Commons park is also perfect for all you golf lovers
out there who enjoys playing from time to time. Want to enjoy local entertainment without driving
miles away from your home? Well, Commons park is perfect for that with events like the Fall
Fest which features haunted hayrides, a petting zoo, pet costume contest, and craft and
domestic beer vendors.
Don’t worry Royal Palm Beach does not just have parks. Like a compact car, small with great
features in and around the perimeter, just approximately 5 miles outside of Royal Palm Beach
there is Lion Country Safari which is a drive through Safari on one end (I don’t know about you
but a drive-through safari where you get to see animals up close sounds pretty eventful) and on
another end is the Rapids water park, one of the biggest water parks in South Florida. And if
you’re a big carnival goer, during the first three months of the year the South Florida Fair makes
its first stop in Royal Palm Beach before going to Miami. With all the rides you can think of and
the most creative foods like donut burger and sriracha fire and ice cream sundae which by the
way sounds disgustingly delicious, the South Florida Fair is one of the most exciting events to
happen in Florida and is such a privilege that Royal Palm Beach gets to have it in the
community.
Royal Palm Beach is in close proximity to the beach which has clear blue water and sparkling
sand perfect for a family outing, surfing, kayaking, going for a swim or just to relax. For all you
fishers out there Royal Palm Beach has plenty of spots to fish in and around the area like Dyer
Park and Okeeheelee Park.
